He deftly mkixes scholarship with conversational tone. He is the greatest living Journalist writer. The MATLAB codes are only 'lightly' annotated with in-line comments and the MATLAB help and doc support for the codes are somewhat cryptic and thus not as user friendly as the book itself.. The book comes with a disk that contains the programs but my version is on an old 5 ½ inch IBM disk and my computer does not have the drive to read it. He started several schools on the western prairie and founded the Entre Nous College for teachers. You could read sections as they are without getting confused. This textbook helped some of us at Lockeheed Missiles & Space Co. I have read almost all of Rich Cohen's books. Had this book arrived with the lesson support CD unbroken it would have been much more helpful.The book's instuctional lessons are well done, but as one might expect, have some visual support for the drawing lessons would have been nice..
